Response to Zoyi

For love, maybe what we are seeking are feelings of thrill and satisfaction. But we can't deny love is a part of our life, a part of our spirit. I'm reading a philosophic book rencently and the author claims that human possesses three original parts of spirits, that is, the desire for knowledge, the belief, and love. It may comes to a disaster that we have only the desire for knowledge left as the western civilization develops. Because of the science theories invading every areas of human's life, the buildings of belief and of love collapsed. More and more people have given up their belief in god, and perhaps some of them have also given up their belief in love. The terrible result is that human will become cruel and cold, seeking for new stuffs to fill their endless appetites. As Agent Smith in 'Matrix' says, at that time human is no longer mammal but virus, overspreading their desire and extinguishing everything else.
I mumble a lot up there because I figure we should not forget the existence of love, or it will be dangerous. As a matter of fact, human is doing such stupid things to wipe out everything on Earth, including their future. And no obvious signs show that we have a strong sense to have a brake right now. So we need love and belief to guide us. The love is not only for opposite sex, but for our nature, for people across the Pacific and the Atlantic, for the future of our children. Science is powerful for us to face the crises around us, but not for the dark side deep in our mind, in humanity. And it is usually the dark side in humanity that conducts us towards the extinguishment.
So I agree that we should learn to love and be loved. We have rights to refuse to believe in god, but we ought to believe in love. And of course we should take our responsibilities of love. Anyway, love is not only about joy. Sometimes we even get more pain and misfortune from it. But we must still keep it in mind no matter how horrible it is. You may treat it as our destiny, but I'd rather regard it as a kind of gift.
I believe the correct attitude of love can help us to defeat our weakness and evils, leading us to a better way to go ahead. Love is what we seek, we suffer, and we enjoy. Love is the weapon to wipe out all discrimination and animosity among human beings. Love is the only way to help us to check our mind thoroughly and seriously, the only way to control our unpredictable desire.
Well, It seems that I am becoming a priest. I overestimate and even misunderstand your saying, Zoyi. Perhaps the love for opposite sex has a schedule, but Love is such a thing that we need to value from our birth to death.
Thanks for your saying, giving me inspiration for these. Actually love is a kind of feeling. When you have love in your heart, you will never walk alone, never.
For you're carrying the priceless treasure of human beings.

The love in long distance

Today Sunny focused his topic on love. And one of the discussion, "Do you believe long-distance love", exerted our interests. It reminded me of a famous poem, which I had ever used in my article and letter, written by Tagore.

The furthest distance in the world

is not between life and death

but when I stand in front of you

yet you don't know that I love you

The furthest in the world

is not when I stand in front of you

yet you can't see my love

but when undoubtedly knowing the love from both

yet can't be together

The furthest distance in the world

is not being apart while being in love

but when plainly can not resist the yearning

yet pretending you have never been in my love

The furthest distance in the world

is not when plainly can not resist the yearning

yet pretending you have never been in my heart

but using one's indifferent heart

to dig an uncrossable river for the one

who loves you

And till today I suddenly came up with two of my friends around, who are both girls, had this experience before. However they didn't have forever endings. It shows that love can't defeat the reality. Their feelings would be weakened by the distance.

What a sad truth it is! Maybe only for the romanticists like Tagore will believe the power of love. Obviously, girls sometimes are romanticists too. That's why "The Knot", a Chinese movie using love story to reflect the current politics, has earned countless tears from girls. If a girl watches that moive but don't cry, she is not a girl anymore. She will be as mature as a woman, because she will never believe love can beat the time.

What is love? I figure love must base on  agreements and compromises, and give people strenth to go ahead in their life. Life is full of lonlyness and sadness, we need someone to share, to get comfort and support. Maybe happiness is easy to share to your ordinary friends and parents. But for sadness and scare, Love is the best medicine. So I don't think the distance of love is determined by the distance of geography. It is determined by the distance of two hearts. I believe couples who fit each other so much are still hard to break up, for neither of them can find another person that is so close to their hearts again.

But it is a pity that we can hardly find such suitable one in the world, in our limited life.So we should learn to tolerate, and compromise.

Sunny introduced five conditions that Long-D love should have, independence, mature, tolerance, honest and faith. I really agree with these five points. We should make sense of a fact that love is not only for happiness, but also bring you continous pain.

Nevertheless, I still like the poem up there.

And I wish everyone can find their destined lover, just for a late wish for Valentine's Day.

Determination,or Destiny?

These two days my oral English's teacher, is a CBC from Quebec. He is called Sunny, just as my high school English teacher, although he is a lean man instead of a fat lady. (sweating...) As he said, he's a 7-11, talking all the time. Today he started with a hot topic, dieting. But then his way went towards determination. So he told us a story about the hockey star, Saku Kiovu.
Saku is a player from Finland. Like Lance Armstrong, he was diagnosed for a desperate disease when he was at the top of his career, after he just got engaged with his gf. His disease is called non-hodgkin lymphoma, a kind of cancer. He had to receive chemotherapres to fight against the disease. It almost spoiled him. After a chemotherapre, he "locked himself in the bedroom without a wisp of light in, for every little movement or light will make him scream painfully". It took him 4 months to cure the disease, and 3 months to recover. As all the heroes the pain never depressed him. At last he returned hockey field, welcomed by audience's respect.
Sunny said it was determination that led him defeating the cancer. But I believed it was destinied. What if the treatment  had had no effect? Maybe he would be a martyr, and left loads of sighs behind. But as long as a little hope there, we should not give up our struggle. Facing the storm in our life With a smile is a way to show our bravry to our fate. I still cling to that.

Hopeless footballteam

It is cotinously damnly hot today, and tomorrow. I changed my oral Eng class today to  a higher level one. I think more challenges will bring me more progress. Well teacher asked me suddenly that what are the incorrect notions of Chinese. I was not ready at that moment, but I answered quickly that Chinese football team has hope. Then Larry, the teacher commented that my notion was negative. He thanked me to offer a telling example for Chinese's incorrect notion:Being negative for future. But just look back at the fighting of Chinese Olympic footballteam some days before, and you will find my opinion reasonable. The E-pals said they not only lost our football's honor, but also lost Chinese Kongfu's.

The scene I want to last forever

Today is a really hot day, hot for the winter. I had few chances to wear T-shirt as I did today every year, just before the Spring Festival, though I had been in GZ, which is famous for her warmth.
In the English class today teacher showed a sentence, 'It was a beautiful morning, the kind you want to last forever'. It exerted my interests. I wanna look for the unforgettable scenes of myself.
The first scene I come up with is the night on the sea, my only night on the sea. That was an extremely cold day, and  wind roared constantly. I felt dozens of swords cutting my face, but I don' care, 'cuz the dark blue sky was beautiful, full of stars as diamonds glinting towards me. Firstly I was moved by such a splendid nature view. How chickenshit I am! How chickenshit human is.
Maybe this is why I name this blog"Casablanca's space". Never figure that you have done something great enough. Just raise your head to see. You will find yourself a dust in this endless world.

A Day to return

Today we came back to GDSY~~to see my former classmates & teachers. Girls have changed a lot. But boys still keep their appearance except for their wearing. Of course teachers are the same. I don't think they will change in a few years. But for us, any change may happen in next few years. Changes remind me of the past as a golden memory when we laughed together and fought together. We would tell each other to cheer up and have some jokes, cold jokes sometimes, on the others, adding some colorful screens to the humdrum(单调的) life of Senior 3.
In fact at present, I still wanna get energies from my old fellows, but I find it difficult, for we all had different life now. We may pay too much attention to our career, and neglect our encouragement to our friends. Maybe that's a way to lose our friendship. But we can do nothing to change that. We are forced to forget by the flowing time.
Isn't it?
